It all started in a pool, but not one of the indoor, 90° pools that tots have come to love over the last 29 years. Our mission began in a community pool in Tempe, Arizona, where one teenage lifeguard taught one single lesson, and a dream was born ... to save lives by teaching children all over the world how to become safe and confident swimmers for life.
Aqua-Tots offers eight levels of comprehensive swim lessons for all ages and abilities starting as early as 4 months old. Each of the swimming lesson levels is designed to build upon the next, taking your child on a journey toward becoming a safe and confident swimmer for life. Lessons are offered for Parent-Tots classes, 4:1 ratio group, semi-private and private.

Dance with Me! This fun class instructs students, along with the assistance of a parent or guardian, to explore the different rhythms of music, while learning to move their bodies, listen, and follow directions. Students learn movements and motor skills, through both song and dance along with a variety of props to help stimulate their imaginations! Class is for ages 1.5-3 years old!

Our Eastside Dance Company Guardian & Me classes are a GREAT way for your tiny dancer to immerse themselves in the world of creative movement, with YOU by their side!
Throughout the year we offer a number of pop-up classes that give your child a chance to enjoy a glimpse into the world of dance without the commitment of a full dance season for these little ones.
In these 30-minute sessions, your tiny dancer will move their bodies and be introduced to following instructions in a classroom setting. Making new friends, dancing to music, imaginative play with props and positive reinforcement is just a small glimpse into the fun we will have!

At Gymboree Play & Music, we encourage exploration and self-expression through activities where children will learn to conquer new challenges and reach developmental milestones. The best learning happens through play! Play is essential to brain development and a child's social, cognitive, and physical growth.
We offer Parent and Child classes starting as early as 3 months to age 6! We also off preschool drop off classes as well as semi drop off classes and birthday parties! Visit our website for the current class schedule.Crawlers (6-14 months): We boogie down with our babies, get up and dance, give them baby massages, sing them songs, and explore new physical challenges every week through teacher-led activities on the equipment. Explore tummy time from a new perspective or on a new texture, slide down slides on soft lambskins, or take a ride in a gentle swing! Play as a group and socialize with others! Sing songs, learn a routine, and PLAY!
Walkers (10-18 months): We’ll explore new physical challenges every week through teacher-led activities, with a focus on different ways to use each piece of our equipment. Crawl through tunnels, explore different textures, slide down slides (or climb up slides!), toddle over bridges, or take a ride in a swing!! We’ll also practice social skills and memory building through sing-alongs and group-play.
Runners (16-24 months): It’s all about opposites: loud and quiet, fast and slow, up and down! Contrasting ‘themes’ help your child learn better ways to communicate. We move across the bridge sllowwwly and then fast! They'll learn how to control body movements and use their body to navigate and problem solve across monkey bars, giant cushions, and through little tunnels. We’ll also practice repetition and routine with regular parachute and bubble activities. Soon your little one will be leading the Gymbo Dance!
Explorers (2-3 years): Our play floor comes to life with trips to the grocery store, eating pizza, finding animals, and even bugs! We’ll use creativity and imagination in all activities. Throw a pretend party, imagine a wild trip to outer space, or pretend to be an ant in a bug’s world...we’ll transform our playscape into a whole new world!

Our Classes are designed to build strength, balance, coordination, socialization skills, confidence and independence for your little one. Each Class is instructor led with familiar activities from previous weeks, along with new concepts to keep your child engaged and having tons of fun. Your child will have blast learning, growing and gaining confidence with our program!
Little Legends Open Gym: Come enjoy 1.5 hours of fun with your Little Legend at Open Gym! Ages 5 and under, $12 per child, children under 1 are free. Tuesdays from 10AM-11:30AM.

The Ocean County Library offers a variety of Parent and Me activities. We have programs listed on our event calendar for multiple branches including Beachwood, Berkeley, Brick, Island Heights, Manchester, Toms River, Lacey and Upper Shores. Many programs required advance registration but all programs are free. There are a variety of programs created for specific age groups as well, such a s Baby & Me, Storytimes, Crafts, Toddler Time & Play, Paint & Play and more. Simply register using the link here to attend any of these programs with your child. You can use our event calendar or you can also visit the library's event page and search by branch location.
Ocean County Parks offers Fun for Kids. The program themes, dates and times vary and can be found in their seasonal Program Guides. Programs also vary by location and include Jakes Branch, Cattus Island and the Parks Administration Office. The Summer guide runs thru September 24. Advance registration is required for many programs and there is usually a small fee, $5 or $10. Our event calendar also includes all the programs listed in the guide as well for an easier way to search.
Brick Township Recreation
The Brick Recreation Department proudly offers several programs for children – and their parents and/or caregivers. These programs are all conducted under the direction of our enthusiastic and committed early childhood teachers. Early childhood programs are indisputably beneficial to young people. Programs such as these teach children how to interact with others including their peers and teachers and helps them develop essential learning skills. All programs are held in the Recreation Department’s Early Childhood Center in the Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road.
Mommy/Daddy & Me: Child and Mommy, Daddy or Caretaker will participate in teacher guided activities such as songs, crafts and free play in the Little Learners Room. For children ages 1 – 3.
First Time on My Own: Child will participate independently in the class while the caretaker remains in the foyer. Children will be exposed to a structed environment consisting of circle time, craft projects and open play in the Little Learners Room. For children ages 2 – 3.5.
