When should I take my baby to the dentist for the first time?
FIRST TOOTH = FIRST VISIT! Schedule your baby’s visit within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth.
How soon should children be exposed to toothpaste?
A tiny smear of fluoride free toothpaste is ideal when the first tooth erupts. We will evaluate each child’s risk level and advise when we recommend fluoride toothpaste. Ideally fluoride toothpaste should be used when the child is able to spit out the excess.
What is the difference between a pediatric dentist and a family dentist?
A pediatric dentist has an additional 2-3 years of specialty training following 4 years of dental school and exclusively limits their practice to treating children. Pediatric dentists provide oral care for infants and children through adolescence, as well as with children with special health needs. We are the pediatricians of dentistry.
Are baby teeth important for my child’s oral development?
Baby teeth (primary teeth) aid development in a number of ways. They are critical for speech and chewing and are space holders for the adult teeth. And they make great smiles!
How often do I have to brush my child’s teeth?
Brush at least 2 x day for 2 minutes! Be sure to brush before bedtime after nightly snacks. Flossing should begin as soon as any teeth touch each other.

A balanced diet is ideal for kid’s oral development. Limit sugar and starch intake to avoid early tooth decay. Avoid sticky snacks and replace them with veggies, cheese & nuts.

Sealants fill in grooves found on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This repels food particles that could get caught in the teeth that cause cavities. The treatment is fast and comfortable for your child.
